Erasmus+ KA1 Córdoba is busier than ever this autumn. Alongside the usual wave of VET internships, we’re running job-shadowing visits, welcoming school groups, and running the third edition of our short, themed course on Artificial Intelligence. Here’s a look at what’s actually happening on the ground, and why so many different kinds of mobility can run side by side without any of them losing quality.
🛠️ VET Internships in KA1 Córdoba: Learning by Doing
Right now we have Turkish, Swedish, Hungarian and Finnish trainees training hands-on with local companies, across sectors as different as machinery, electricity, building, architecture, tourism, hairdressing and welding. A Turkish group is placed in machinery and electrical maintenance workshops, a Hungarian group is split between building and architecture placements, a Finnish group is combining tourism and hairdressing, and a Swedish group is training in welding. More VET trainees arrive through October and November for internships in nursing, IT, construction and business administration. Every student gets a proper orientation on workplace expectations and health and safety before day one, and daily follow-up from our team throughout their placement — real work, not a guided tour.
👩🏫 Job Shadowing in KA1 Córdoba: A Different Kind of Mobility
Alongside the internships, we’re hosting several job-shadowing visits this autumn, with professionals from Hungary, Lithuania, Romania and Sweden spending a few days observing Spanish counterparts in fields including electrical trades and education. One pair from Sweden just wrapped up a hairdressing job-shadowing visit at Peluquería Gregorio Porras here in Córdoba. It’s a shorter format than a full internship, but the impact on how these professionals teach, train or manage their own teams back home often outlasts the trip itself — which is why we keep seeing coordinators come back to KA1 Córdoba year after year.
🎒 School Mobilities: Shorter Stays, Big Impact
Next week we’re welcoming a Swedish school group to KA1 Córdoba, built around a hotel and tourism programme, followed by another one later in October focused on carpentry. Both combine short cultural immersion in the city with structured professional visits, giving younger students a taste of both Córdoba and the working world in just a few intense days.
🤖 Back by Popular Demand: Our AI Course, Third Edition
Toward the end of October, we’re running our Artificial Intelligence course for the third time, this time for a group of professionals from Bulgaria visiting KA1 Córdoba. Led by a local instructor, the programme covers AI and entrepreneurship, practical AI tools, big data, and how AI is reshaping business models — twenty hours of training spread across four days. Now in its third edition, it has become one of the ways our programme stretches beyond traditional VET internships and job-shadowing formats, for partners looking for something a bit different.
