🌟 Exciting Progress on Our Recent Project from Czech Republic! 🌟
Over the past two weeks, we’ve been working with 13 talented participants from the Czech Republic, who are here on internships thanks to the Erasmus Plus program. They’ve been gaining valuable professional experience in Córdoba in various architectural and construction firms. Here’s a summary of their amazing journey so far:
Architectural Internships in Córdoba: Gaining Practical Skills
🏛️ Pedro Moreno Arquitecto: Veronika and Katerina have been involved in developing architectural designs under the guidance of experienced architects. Their practical activities included sketching, creating digital models, and producing renderings to visualize ideas. They learned to create technical drawings and construction documents, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details, working collaboratively with a diverse team.
🏢 Castello Arquitectura: Klára, Sarlota and Tereza have also been developing architectural designs. They have gained skills in creating technical drawings and construction documents, including plans, sections, and detailed designs, enhancing their expertise by working with various professionals in the design process.
🏗️ José Alcántara Cárdenas (Alcar Arquitectura): Veronika and Kristina have observed project management and client interactions, assisting with administrative tasks such as organizing project files. They have continuously sought opportunities to learn and grow professionally within the architectural field.
Construction Skills Development: Hands-On Experience in Córdoba
🔨 Ubecord de Construcciones S.L.: Jakub, Frank and Matyas have learned foundational skills in construction and building techniques through hands-on training. They have assisted experienced carpenters and builders, gaining proficiency in using hand and power tools, and participating in various construction tasks such as framing, roofing, flooring, and siding.
🪚 Julio Escribano Sánchez (Corsan): Miler and Jakub have grasped the basic principles of carpentry, including wood types, grain patterns, and joinery techniques. They have practiced measuring, marking, and cutting wood accurately, assembling wood components, and developing the ability to plan and organize carpentry projects efficiently.
Interior Design and Trends: Enhancing Creativity in Córdoba
🖌️ Masol Marame SL: Radka has acquired practical skills in interior design using specialized software, understanding international interior design trends, and preparing presentations and design proposals. Additionally, she has researched materials and trends to enhance her design projects.
Exploring Córdoba: Cultural Activities and Traditions
To ensure a holistic cultural experience, participants engaged in a diverse range of activities that showcased the vibrant Spanish and Andalusian traditions:
🌍 Cultural Activities:
- Guided City Tour: Exploring historical and cultural landmarks of Córdoba, such as the Mezquita-Catedral, Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos, and the Jewish Quarter.
- Traditional Festivals: Participation in local festivals to immerse themselves in traditional celebrations.
- Alcázar Palace Visit: The participants visited the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos, a historic palace in Córdoba, famous for its stunning architecture, extensive gardens, and historical significance.
- Archaeological Museum Visit: They explored the Archaeological Museum of Córdoba, which provided a fascinating journey through the region’s archaeological treasures, spanning from prehistoric times to the medieval period.
